Labour’s Plan for Sheffield
Sheffield Labour is focused on your priorities. With new
funding and new powers we are supporting families with the
cost of living and investing in our neighbourhoods to restore
pride to the places we all live in.
Labour is bringing our buses and trains back under public
control. Regenerating the city centre and bringing inflation
and interest rates under control. Building new homes. Bringing NHS waiting lists down. Expanding free childcare and
free school meals, and delivering the biggest expansion of
workers rights in a generation.
We love our city. Sheffield’s success is rooted in hard work and being a
welcoming city of many communities, many faiths and many
backgrounds. We are proud of our diversity and we will always stand
against racism and hate.
We want Sheffield to be the best place for all of us to grow up,
get on and grow old. That’s what we fight for every day.

Pride in Sheffield
Sheffield Labour is focused on the issues that residents have told us matter the most.
We have a positive plan of local action, including;
- Free bus and tram travel for all under-18s – cutting costs for families and helping provide new opportunities for young people and children.
- Better, more affordable homes – including 1,000 new council homes, and new powers to regulate private landlords
- Cleaner, safer streets – tackling litter hotspots, more CCTV cameras, and tougher enforcement
- Free breakfast clubs in every primary school – supporting children to have a healthy start to the day, making work more flexible for parents, and helping household budgets.
- Better jobs and opportunities – through continued regeneration and increased support for local businesses.
We pledge to build on progress already underway, including major investment in leisure centres, action to bring buses back under public control, and wider work to support communities across the city.
